Seeking a Security Infrastructure Project Manager with experience in construction and physical security infrastructure projects.
Technical project management experience, sound knowledge of the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF), and experience dealing with Security Construction and Equipment Committee specialists for an upgrade project.
With a sound understanding of the PSPF, the contractor will project manage the delivery of a large-scale access control project. This will include contract administration, building regulation compliance, fee negotiation with specialist contractors, managing allocated budgets, governance reporting, and managing the project locally and remotely. The role is to keep the project delivery progressing (on time and on budget) while protecting the integrity of the design and ensuring full compliance with security measures/regulations.
The required skills are
Domestic travel may be required.
Contract: 12 Months Contract with 1 x 12 months contract extension.
Security Required: Must have a NV2 Security Clearance.
Location - Canberra - Hybrid - Successful applicant must work at least 5 of 10 days on site. Flexible working arrangements will be considered, subject to approval per the Department’s operational needs and ICT Contractor Working from Home Guidelines.

The required skills are
- Ability to liaise with key stakeholders and develop project briefs to deliver security upgrade projects.
- Good understanding and experience in delivering construction and physical security infrastructure projects.
- Good understanding of Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and Security Construction Equipment Committee (SCEC).
- Experience managing procurement of consultants and contractors to deliver security projects.
- Ability to review designs against the project brief, and to check for consistency, usability and that security components have been implemented.
- Ability to identify issues prior to commencing components of the build and re-prioritise if required.
- Willingness to undertake site visits where required.
- Experience developing statement of work/Requirements for external contractors, drafting work orders, and ensuring work is delivered accordingly.
- Review diagram(s) and drawings to reflect security specifications.
- Review and update “as built” documentation and drawings.
- Review architectural designs as required.
- Review design and engineering documentation issued to DSD by external entities and service providers.
- Manage project budgets and reporting to key stakeholders.
- Manage the project handover and close outs.
