About the Role
As a Senior Digital Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of complex ICT initiatives that support the agency’s strategic objectives. You’ll work independently within broad guidelines to manage project requirements, configuration, and benefits across multiple tranches of work. This role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, systems architects, security teams, and other technical groups to ensure successful project outcomes.

Location: The role is based in Canberra ACT
Contract terms: 12 months from commencement date, plus potential extensions
SFIA level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 5.
Security Requirements: Current Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance is strongly preferred, however candidates who have held a TSPV in the previous 12-month period (which has since been downgraded) may be considered. An OSA (Organisational Suitability Assessment) will be required for this position.

- Leading requirements definition, change management, and benefits realisation processes.
- Managing continuous business improvement and ensuring compliance with quality and audit standards.
- Coordinating evolving project requirements and maintaining accurate project records.
- Supporting knowledge transfer and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
The Successful Candidate
You are an experienced project manager with a strong background in ICT and digital transformation. You bring a strategic mindset, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and a proven ability to deliver in complex, high-security environments.
To be successful, you will need to demonstrate:
- Expertise in scoping, prioritising, and managing requirements for large-scale digital initiatives.
- Experience in benefits realisation planning and performance monitoring.
- Strong knowledge of project governance, standards, and evaluation methods.
- Analytical skills to investigate complex business situations and recommend improvements.
- A current TSPV security clearance is essential. Candidates with a Defence-recognised Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) are highly preferred.
