The Role:
The Senior Scrum Master will play a pivotal role in leading and delivering complex Cyber and Digital Identity projects that align with the agency’s strategic objectives.This position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience. You will be responsible for the function of designing and delivering new functional solutions, and providing ongoing operational support for ICT solutions, while ensuring adherence to time, budget, and scope constraints.
Skills and Experience Required:
Mandatory Criteria
•Minimum of three years of hands-on experience working as a Scrum Master or in a similar Agile role is required. Experience in managing Agile teams in a public sector environment is highly desirable, as it highlights the candidate's ability to navigate the unique challenges and dynamics associated with delivering government services.
•Demonstrated ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, including senior stakeholders. The Scrum Master must be capable of fostering a collaborative team environment, facilitating stakeholder engagement, and effectively conveying Agile concepts to team members and leaders alike, thereby promoting a culture of continuous improvement and high performance within the Department .
Weighted Criteria
•Certified Scrum Master certification.
•Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, facilitating clear and effective interactions between stakeholders, team members, and management. This includes the ability to articulate complex ideas succinctly and adapt communication styles to suit diverse audiences.
•Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative environment thatencourages continuous improvement.
Location and Contract Term: This role is based in ACT, work 3 days in the office/2 days from home. 24 month contract. Extension options pending budget and delegate approval.
Security Requirements: Applicants must be Australian Citizens. A NV1 security clearance is required for this role.
