Seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst to support data and analytics initiatives.

This role is hands-on and documentation-focused, ideal for someone who enjoys technical writing and creating clarity from complexity
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Skilled in technical documentation and visualisation tools (Visio, Confluence)
2. Experience in business analysis with a strong technical documentation focus
3. Familiarity with data and analytics concepts such as Data lakes, Reporting tools, ETL processes, APIs, metadata, and cloud platforms
4. Detail-oriented, structured, and comfortable working as an individual contributor
Contract: 6 Months Contract with 1 x 6 months extension option
Security Required: Must be an Australian Citizen
Location - Canberra based - Hybrid - required to be in the office a minimum of 3 days a week.

This role is hands-on and documentation-focused, ideal for someone who enjoys technical writing and creating clarity from complexity
Key duties and responsibilities
- Create technical and process documentation with accuracy and consistency
- Translate discussions and high-level input into clear, actionable requirements and artefacts
- Prepare POC, Pilot, and RFQ documentation, including scope, objectives, success criteria, and technical requirements
- Prepare tender packs with functional and technical requirements, supporting artefacts (e.g., architecture diagrams, current/future state documentation) and assist with vendor technical Q&A and evaluations
- Perform gap analysis and document current- and future-state processes, systems, data flows, and integration points (ETL, APIs, Cloud)
- Support rollout readiness, including data migration documentation, transition planning, and handover artefacts
- Proficient in creating technical documentation such as process maps, swim-lane diagrams, data flow diagrams, and integration specifications using tools like Visio and Confluence.
