About the role:
Automation Tester - Banking
Automation testing in a Treasury environment is crucial for ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and security of financial operations. It streamlines the testing process by automating repetitive and complex tasks, reducing the risk of human error, and ensuring consistency across various financial transactions and reports. This approach enables quicker validation of critical functions such as cash management, liquidity forecasting, and compliance with regulatory requirements. By implementing automation testing, Treasury teams can enhance their operational reliability, accelerate time-to-market for new processes, and maintain high standards of accuracy in financial reporting.
Key responsibilities will include:
Treasury specific testing requirement utilizing the skills of ETL/SQL, Control M, Agile, Banking experience and knowledge of ST and UAT phases.
• Experience in ETL testing, writing complex SQL Queries, generating reports.
• Technical SQL skillset with ability to troubleshoot/deep dive into SQL Stored procedures.
• Well versed with Treasury Technology architecture and very comfortable working in technologies like Control-M, Visual Studio, SQL Server, Oracle
• Experience in managing the complete test life cycle including preparation of test strategy, test plan, test cases and test completion report.
The successful candidate:
The successful candidate must be able to satisfy the following criteria:
Detailed testing accountabilities in IRRMU, THS and CMS.
• Working closely with other BQA leads and contribute to portfolio level testing initiatives as outlined by BQA.
• Managing testing results by coaching, counselling, and providing constructive feedback.
• Automating business regression testing.
• Upskilling business knowledge in the testing team and ensuring this knowledge is applied in impact/risk assessments and test cases.
• Improve testing tools to allow automated comparisons of the User Interface objects and supporting data layers in Qlik.

This contract is available for an initial 6 month term with an extension of 6 months.
Located in Sydney, this role offers a hybrid working arrangement.
