Working with our large private client, the Delivery Manager will be responsible for project planning and managing the implementation of work packages across one large project.

Location: This role is based in Canberra, ACT. Domestic travel will be required.
Contract terms: Start ASAP til 30.6.25 with extensions available.
Security Requirements: Candidates require Australian citizenship along with an active NV2 (negative vetting 2). Candidates will need to be willing to undergo pre-employment checks which may include, ID and work rights, security clearance verification, and any other client requested checks.

Working with our large private client, the Delivery Manager will be responsible for project planning and managing the implementation of work packages across one large project.
- Plan and manage project work package activities against the available capacity of team members.
- Procurement and contract management on behalf of the project.
- Manage client relationships and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders/ providers.
- Provide oversight and manage priorities to ensure on time project deliverables and products (technical and non-technical).
Responsibilities:
- Project Management, documenting the scope of delivery work packages, including resourcing needs, statements of work, third party delivery timelines, milestones, and assist with budgetary considerations.
- Procure and manage third-party contractor project teams/ companies to ensure alignment of schedules and delivery of outcomes as part of a broader program of work.
- Monitor project delivery activity risks and issues, including developing and implement mitigation tactics to ensure the project stays on track.
- Maintain and deliver regular and accurate communications with key stakeholders through collaboration in industry workshops, internal knowledge transfer sessions and regular sync ups.
- Report on the status of delivery of work packages and ensure all risks and issues are monitored and escalated through appropriate channels to resolve them.
Experience required:
- Working to Defence industry standards, processes and legislation.
- Project and delivery management in an ICT environment.
- Experience working with System Program Offices and familiarity of the processes involved in delivering and transition of capability to Defence.
- Defence procurement processes and contract management functional knowledge.
- Strong client/ stakeholder management and team coordination skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Contribute to a collaborative, innovative, and efficient working culture.
- Ability to work in a team environment, participate in project meetings and engage with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Ability to conduct research, as well as rapidly learn new concepts and tasks, with a view of improving technical knowledge and skills.
