Seeking a Junior Project Manager with proven experience in the successful management and delivery of technology related project phases, activities and tasks.
Requirements
The Department requires Project Managers to participate in delivering upcoming and inflight ICT Projects and initiatives within the Infrastructure Technology & Cloud Services Branch. The role will be responsible for participation in the delivery of several high priority ICT projects into a modern Azure Hosting Platform (APO). Candidates will be expected to meet the following criteria:

Location of work and working arrangements - The role is Canberra based. Please note there is an expectation the role will be undertaken onsite in Canberra to work alongside technical teams in a fast paced ever changing environment. Canberra based, on site minimum of 3 days a week to work alongside technical teams.
Security clearance - Must have a Baseline Security Clearance.
Candidates will need to be willing to undergo pre-employment screening checks which may include, ID and work rights, security clearance verification and any other client requested checks.

Requirements

- Experience in working with technical teams and partnering with multiple vendors to achieve a combined outcome.
- Proven experience in delivering outcomes under tight timeframes.
- Ability to prepare reports, artefacts and documentation for management.
- Strong organisational and communication skills to present information and communicate expectations in an environment with competing requirements and workloads.
- Experience working in Federal Government agencies, tertiary project management qualifications and certifications will be highly regarded.
- Experience working in Azure DevOps / Confluence / Jira for management will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrate personal resilience and flexibility to deal with ambiguity, conflicting priorities and a challenging environment.
- Ability to work under pressure with close attention to detail, organise priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Essential
- Proven experience participating in coordinating a range of program / project activities including the production, delivery and management of project schedules and progress reports.
- Strong technical background with the ability to perform complex technical project tasks and assist / resolve ICT issues.
- Strong organisational and communication skills to present information and communicate expectations in an environment with competing requirements/workloads. Experience in Azure DevOps or equivalent products for project tracking.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation, mentoring and team management capabilities.
- Experience working under pressure with close attention to detail, organising priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Experience in presenting information and communicating expectations across conflicting priorities/workloads and a challenging environment.
