The S/4 Solution Architect will advise on all aspects of system development and integration, including handling requests for changes and deviations from specifications. They ensure the correct application of relevant technical strategies, policies, standards, and practices.
Skills and Experience:
Responsibilities:
- Leading and guiding the design and management of solutions, including risk and issue identification and management.
- Analysing business requirements and system specifications, providing strategic expertise to ensure alignment with business needs.
- Addressing and resolving complex system and technological issues to deliver innovative business solutions, supporting and completing project work within required timeframes.
- Creating system architecture and design specifications, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
- Providing expert advice to business owners on ongoing enhancement and development of corporate system applications.
- Collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders to achieve agreed business outcomes.
- Offering expert support in quality reviews of deliverables.
- Advising on changes to solution design to maintain system robustness and relevance.
- Effectively liaising, consulting, and negotiating with team members, other project teams, stakeholders, and client groups to maintain effective working relationships and solution integrity.
- Keeping a broad and up to date knowledge of postmodern ERP solutions (preferably SAP products), IT innovation.
- Performing other duties as directed.
- Contributing to effective division management by adhering to financial management practices, quality management practices (ISO:9001), and public administration policies.
- Upholding responsibilities related to employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety, and ethical behaviour.
- Managing information according to Departmental Information Security policy and standards to ensure its confidentiality, availability, and integrity.
Skills:
- Proven experience in delivering complex SAP solutions across various SAP finance/supply chain modules, including experience within the Queensland Government.
- Understanding of the organisations ERP initiatives, technologies, and terminologies such as General Ledger Accounting, Asset Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Management Accounting and Budgeting, Asset Management, Real Estate, Inventory Management, Operational Procurement, and Extended Warehouse Management.
- Ability to translate complex SAP technical and solution concepts to achieve business outcomes.
- Extensive architectural experience, including coaching and mentoring other architects, and managing integrated systems solutions across teams.
- Strong client service skills, including adherence to deadlines and service level agreements.
- Leadership and supervisory skills, managing team leaders and assisting team members in delivering effective client services.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to advise, consult, and negotiate with stakeholders on complex and strategic issues, building effective relationships in an environment of change and client service delivery.
- Experience in highly integrated ERP environments, as part of large-scale ERP transformations.
- Expert knowledge and experience in designing integration strategies and solution architecture.
- Proven experience in Solution Integration Design.
- Experience in designing and presenting solution artifacts.
- Good knowledge of current technical industry trends, including systems integration and service-oriented architecture.
- A minimum of 7 to 10 years' experience in similar roles, gained through working in and leading complex, large business implementations.
Location and Contract Term:
- Queensland Based (No Remote Workers)
- 12 month initial contract with Likely extension.
Security Requirements: Full working rights & the ability to obtain an Australian police check.
