About the Role:
Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for security and administration? We are seeking a Security Administration Officer to join a high-performing team supporting national security processes. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to meaningful work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage security clearance administration processes
- Process criminal records checks and clearance applications
- Respond to internal and external queries via email
- Liaise with stakeholders to progress and finalise clearance processes
- Maintain and update internal systems and records
- Provide policy and procedural advice on security clearance requirements
- Prepare documentation and compliance reports
- Support front-desk client services and assist with internal security processes
- Maintain Standard Operating Procedures and assist with policy-related projects
- Conduct file reviews in accordance with legislative requirements
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Sound judgement and attention to detail
- Proactive and able to manage competing priorities
- Ability to interpret and apply policy in a practical context
- Certificate III or IV in Government (Security Vetting/PERSEC)
- Knowledge of the Australian Government’s Protective Security Policy Framework
- Experience in processing security clearance applications
- Australian Citizenship is mandatory
- NV1 Security Clearance must be held prior to commencement
- Limited work-from-home flexibility due to the nature of the role
- No overtime permitted
