About the role:
The Project Manager is responsible for managing large and complex ICT projects in accordance with NSW Government and PMO-mandated policies, standards, and procedures. The role ensures the delivery of essential products and services within designated parameters of time, cost, quality, scope, risk, and benefits. A key responsibility is leading the delivery of a secure cloud hosting platform and associated security tools, enabling the migration of critical applications to the cloud. The Project Manager will collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure successful migration while maintaining high levels of security, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse, evaluate, and deploy technology solutions aligned with NSWPF business objectives, with a focus on cloud capabilities.
- Own the full project lifecycle including scope, milestones, execution, risk assessment, and success measurement.
- Drive high-quality cloud solutions while managing budget, scope, schedule, and resources.
- Ensure adherence to architecture and data standards for scalable and interoperable cloud projects.
- Assess business requirements, identify synergies, and manage implementation.
- Ensure compliance with NSWPF and NSW Government policies and standards.
- Manage interdependencies across project tasks and stakeholders.
- Provide leadership across teams and divisions.
- Establish best practices and tools to expand cloud capabilities.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure quality assurance.
- Validate cloud design options and facilitate technical workshops.
- Implement delivery frameworks aligned with cloud strategy.
- Lead delivery and documentation of cloud project products.
- Oversee external cloud vendors and manage contractual obligations.
- Engage in change management and training for cloud adoption.
- Expertise in AWS and Azure platforms, including CloudWatch, EC2, Azure Monitor, and SQL Database.
- 10+ years of project management experience, with a focus on cloud migration and infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Agile, waterfall, and hybrid methodologies.
- Proven experience in cloud implementations, security, and integration.
- Skilled in MS Project, Jira, Confluence, and cloud-specific tools.
- Scrum Master certification or experience is a plus.
- Highly organized, proactive, and curious self-starter.
- Strong analytical and collaborative skills.
- Experience managing multiple cloud-related tasks.
- Preferred experience in government organizations with cloud governance knowledge.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective communication with all levels and technical backgrounds.
- Strong stakeholder and vendor management.
- Leadership and team motivation.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Negotiation and conflict resolution.
- Resilience and courage under pressure.
- Strategic problem-solving and decision-making.
- ASAP start until 30 June 2026.
- Location: Parramatta NSW.
- 40 hours per week, primarily on-site.
- Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or NZ Citizen required.
- Pre-employment checks: National Police Check, Baseline Security Clearance, and references.
- Recreation leave based on contract duration.
