About the role/ Experience required:
They are seeking an experienced Technical Systems Administrator to support the complex systems management, data management, and applications development and optimisation tasks required for the Supercomputing Branch's advanced computing environment. By engaging a Technical Systems Administrator with these advanced skills, the Supercomputing Branch can ensure that its environment is optimised for performance, security, and scalability, and can meet the needs of its research and technology projects.

- Implement supercomputing system and security design;
- Install supercomputing Linux based software;
- Configure and tune supercomputing operating systems and associated Linux based software;
- Ensure supercomputing systems are maintained and system availability is at, or above, planned service levels;
- Where required, install physical supercomputing equipment;
- Carry out supercomputing Cluster Management;
- Maintain and monitor supercomputing Job Queues;
- Linux fault prevention, detection and correction; and
- Liaise with supercomputing user base
The successful candidate has experience with:
- Supercomputing Cluster software skills
- Advanced Linux skills
- Scripting skills
