About the role:
We are seeking a skilled SAS Tester to lead testing for Credit Risk projects, ensuring quality and business alignment. Responsibilities include executing test plans, managing regression cycles, and maintaining test metrics. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of SAS Testing experience, strong SQL skills, and familiarity with Big Data and Azure environments. Collaboration with automation engineers and Product Owners is essential, with prior financial services experience—especially in Credit Risk—highly valued. DevOps knowledge is a plus.
Key responsibilities will include:
Knowledge of financial services and DevOps/DevSecOps practices.

This contract is available for an initial 6 month term with an extension of 3 x 6 months.
Located in Sydney, this role offers a hybrid working arrangement.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Drive testing delivery across Credit Risk use case projects.
- Ensure testing visibility, traceability, and control to meet business needs.
- Define and deliver test plans, cases, schedules, and reports, maintaining strict standards throughout.
- Strategically plan and monitor regression cycles for each release.
- Collaborate with automation engineers and test leads to enhance regression test automation.
- Partner with Product Owners to keep regression suites aligned with evolving business needs.
- Update testing metrics and governance dashboards consistently.
- Support regular audits, ensuring adherence to quality standards across projects.
- Foster strong team collaboration, building relationships and resolving complex technical issues effectively.
- 3+ years of SAS Testing experience.
- Strong track record in defining Test Approaches, Test Plans, and Completion Reports.
- Skilled in executing tests with automation tools where applicable.
- Expert in applying testing methodologies to set and manage key performance metrics.
- Proactively identifies and mitigates issues and risks.
- 3+ years in complex data engineering projects within business or tech solutions.
- Advanced skills in SQL and SAS, especially Base SAS, SAS/Macro, DI Studio, Enterprise Guide, and SAS Management Console.
- 1+ years with Big Data (Hadoop, Spark, Hive) and API development (Java Spring) in Azure (Synapse, CosmosDB).
- Experience with data warehousing, modeling, and integration tools like Informatica, and BI tools such as Power BI, IBM Cognos, and Tableau.
- SAS 9.4 or Viya platform testing experience.
- Familiar with Data Mesh Architecture and Domain Data Products.
- Technology industry experience, with a focus on Credit Risk in banking.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Knowledge of financial services and DevOps/DevSecOps practices.
