Our Government client is currently seeking a Senior Procurement Officer at the APS 6 level, for a Non-Ongoing 12 months contract.

About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Procurement Officer to manage ICT-related procurement. This role involves conducting procurement activities using best practices and sound judgment, identifying and mitigating procurement risks, and providing high-level advice on procurement matters. The successful candidate will work flexibly and apply critical thinking in a dynamic team environment.
Role Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have experience in government procurement and possess the following skills;
Qualification requirement – Cert IV in Procurement and Contracting (PSP40616)
Desirable experience:
To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen. Due to the work environment, our client has requested that all candidates are required to hold a current Baseline Clearance.

Role Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have experience in government procurement and possess the following skills;
- Manage ICT related procurements
- Conduct procurement activities using best practices and judgment to make decisions on procurement and related activities that are fundamental to the day-to-day operations of the Information Services Division
- Identify, manage, and mitigate procurement risks to meet organisational obligations and maximise business opportunities
- Provide high level advice on procurement related matters across the Information Services Division
- Work with flexibility and critical thinking in a team experiencing change
Qualification requirement – Cert IV in Procurement and Contracting (PSP40616)
Desirable experience:
- Sound understanding of PGPA ACT and CPR.
- Understanding of the Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) guidelines and utilise portal for sourcing ICT good/service including software renewal and ICT labour hire.
- Review Procurement documentation and guide stakeholders throughout end-to-end procurement process.
- Manage a shared mailbox, respond appropriately and effective record management.
